On Saturday 7th September, the ladies played against Broadway in the final of the Burnham Plate held at Waddesdon Bowls Club. The whole team played really well and came away with a convincing win of 26-7 with Broadway retiring after 16 ends! CSG ladies have now won this competition three times in the last 6 years so extremely well done to the team this year of Flora Alderton, Chris Pound, Hazel Baker and Candi Ivey and to Margaret Timberlake and Pam Naish who played in some of the preliminary rounds. It was nice to see so many of our members at the game supporting our team too.
A big thanks to Denise Williams for Captaining the team again even though her injuries stopped her playing.
