Chalfont St Giles Bowling Club

 

Welcome to the home of Chalfont St Giles Bowling Club.  A friendly ‘local’ outdoor club, affiliated to Bowls England, open to bowlers and would be bowlers just wanting to give it a try. 

We have a Roll up (a practice game) on a Friday starting at 17.30, followed by a light supper if you wish and a get together in our club house, where we have a well-stocked bar.  We also have a roll up on a Wednesday starting at 14.00, internal competitions, play friendly games against local clubs, and compete in county games.  We like to win but our philosophy is more about enjoyment than winning at all costs. You don’t have any bowls? Not a problem. Your coach will select an appropriate set of bowls, and they will be loaned to you for the session.

We look after our own facilities so, if something needs to be done, we muck in and do it. 

We have social events across the year, even in the winter when there is no outdoor bowls. There is short mat bowls which we run  in the village for those who simply can’t get through the winter without bowls.  We would be delighted to tell you more.
