On Sunday 12th July our Burnham Plate team played Scot Bowls in the quarter final at home on a very hot morning!  Unfortunately, we were beaten by Scot with a score of 18 to Chalfonts 8.   The game was played in a very friendly manner and, I may be prejudiced, but I don't feel the final score reflects on how close some of the ends were!  Well done to Jan Endersby and Gill Pochetty who played in all five rounds of the competition and to Pam Naish who played in the last two games.  We all enjoyed a lunch after the game with the players from Scot Bowls and, of course, the biggest treat being a cake and bread pudding supplied by Candi.  Thank you Candi, much appreciated.  Thank you to all our supporters, it was lovely to see so many there.
